As the former editor-in-chief of Country Living, Nancy brought a modern sensibility to a legacy brand, redefining the notion of country as being synonymous with American style. During her 10-year tenure, she built the magazine into the multi-platform brand it is today, including its book division, website (countryliving.com), events (Nancy conceived and launched the Country Living Fair and the Women Entrepreneur event), broadcast (A+E, DIY Network, & the Style Network programming), licensed products (QVC, Lane furniture, food, and the Artisan Collection), and the Country Living SIP Division (Country Living Restoration, Country Living Collection, Country Living Dream Homes, Country Living Cooking, and Country Living Gardener). In 2007, Ad Age named Country Living one of the top 10 magazine brands in the United States.

In 2009 Nancy co-founded, with Jo Packham, The Creative Connection, (TCC) a three-day crafting/DIY and social media conference. The Creative Connection was the first national event to bring together creative women and women entrepreneurs from 46 states and four countries that are passionate about handmade/DIY and taking their business and social media skills to the next level. TCC brought together into one event, creative workshop classes, social media seminars and business panels, all led by industry leaders. Sponsors and media partners included Etsy, Starbucks, Sterling Publishing, McDonalds, Better Homes & Gardens, BlogHer, Stampington & Company, Where Women Create, ScrapBlog, and more.

As Community Leader|Publishing Director for Craft at F+W Media, Nancy transformed a legacy book business into multi-platform print and digital experiences: re-launch and content strategy for e-commerce (store.marthapullan.com), flash sale site and online communities (stitchsocial.com and createmixedmedia.com), events, online learning, ebooks, and talent acquisition.
